Passion. Experience. Resilience.
Vault Strategy Group was built on firsthand experience in the trenches of the resale and collectibles economy. What started as a side hustle flipping limited-edition sneakers out of a college dorm room quickly became a full-fledged career in the business of buying, selling, and scaling high-demand products. At just 18, our founder turned a passion for rare items and market trends into a profitable hustle—paying for college through sneaker arbitrage, long before resale became mainstream.
By 22, that same hustle evolved into a brick-and-mortar retail store specializing in vintage toys, with a focus on LEGO and nostalgia-driven collectibles. From merchandising and staffing to marketing and customer service, we built a brand that connected deeply with its audience—employing a team of over a dozen and generating consistent six-figure revenue while maintaining healthy gross profit margins. Eventually, the business was positioned for acquisition, allowing us to personally reinvest and realize a successful return on our initial capital.
Not content to stop there, we launched multiple eCommerce storefronts that generated strong, recurring five-figure monthly revenues—selling everything from Pokémon cards to sports memorabilia and limited-run collectibles. Our social media presence grew just as fast, building an audience of over 10,000 engaged followers across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube in less than two years. We've managed logistics, negotiated with suppliers, tracked shifting markets, and adapted to the evolving platforms where collectible communities live and shop.
Beyond retail, our team also brings institutional knowledge from time spent working in venture capital and with Midwest investment firms—evaluating and funding high-growth startups across a range of industries. This dual lens—both operator and investor—allows us to understand what drives lasting business value, and how to help founders build not just profitable stores, but scalable companies.
At Vault Strategy Group, we take everything we’ve learned—from inventory turnover ratios and liquidation sourcing, to marketplace optimization and brand storytelling—and translate it into actionable, data-driven consulting. We’ve lived the challenges collectible and resale-based businesses face every day, and now, we help others overcome them. Whether you’re a local shop owner, an eCommerce seller, or a large-scale collector ready to go pro, we know how to increase revenue, improve margins, and position your business for long-term success.
